Happy Halloween!!!

This past weekend we hosted a Halloween party (mostly for Griff since he wouldn't be home for Halloween night).

The week leading up to our party was INSANE. Nick had parent teacher conferences and I had our annual company conference all week in Seattle. Needless to say, neither one of us had the time or energy to really prepare in advance which made Friday and Saturday a little hectic, but Griff was a big helper and it turned out to be a fun family activity getting everything ready.
Spooky Spider Deviled Eggs

Spider Ice Cubes

Candy Corn Bark

Nick's Pulled Pork---prior to sauce

Finished Product--He was so PROUD! I was so impressed:)

Hot Dog Mummies

The Food Table

Dessert Bar
Puking Pumpkin

Everything turned out better than we hoped, and all our friends and family enjoyed themselves....

Nick dressed up as Justin Timberlake in one of his famous SNL skits...Griff was Optimus Prime...Scoot was a Crab...and I was a sugar skull.

The best part of the night however was when our 4 little neighbor boys came over and Griff and the boys terrorized the house...They had their own spooky drinks made with gummy worm ice cubes and they each got to take home a treat bag. Griff was so excited.

Everyone came in costume which was AWESOME....My friend Laura and her sister Carol came as a Parakeet and a Parrot, which was especially hilarious because Laura and I had worn those costumes in college. Total blast from the past. Our super good friends Matt and Lucy were matching inmates, Adam and Kalena were a Cowboy and Indian, Papa came as a scary clown, Grandma had a fun mask, and Nana was a Pink Lady. Some of our favorite people were missing, but they were there in spirit;)

My brother in law Adam and his girlfriend, Kalena

Overall....Nick and I were pretty sure it was a success....especially when we saw this:
