So proud of our boy...

Over the summer, Griffen had a school assignment to read as much as possible. At the beginning of the school year, each "home run" he earned warranted an entry to win a Mariner's ticket with 30 other kids and the Principal, and...our sweet boy WON! He was so excited and proud!

Griffen wasn't home this week, so we decided to head down to the game and surprise him. He took the bus with all of the students and the Principal. Nick had coordinated with the Principal so we knew where he was going to be sitting. Ad and K came with us...they were the "look out" and as soon as the group arrived we got the go ahead to buy the cotton candy. The cutest part was that as Griff passed Adam and K, they could hear him say, "Can we get cotton candy?!"

We'll take 10!

We took up the 10 buckets of cotton candy and he got to pass it out to all his friends.

We didn't stick around and hover...we simply wanted to show him how absolutely proud we were of his achievement, especially something related to reading, which just a year ago he struggled with. We love him so much!!!
After the game, we headed to the Great Wheel! It was so amazing! Cannot wait to take Griff down!!
