Girls Trip to Spokane

Auntie Lou Lou turned 50 this month, and so Goose (aka Lucy) and I headed over the pass with Scoot for her birthday party. Griff wasn't home that weekend and Nicky had a bachelor party, so it was just girls (and Scoot) braving the pass. WELL...given that it is late MARCH, we weren't worried as we headed out around 6 on Thursday night. Well, we should have been worried. We got to mile marker 47 (About 50 miles from Seattle) and sat for...wait for it...4.5 hours. Yes, we literally didn't go far enough to reach an exit until about 11:15, when we then sat on the off ramp for another 1/2 hour or so. It was totally miserable, but fun at the same time...Goose and I made lots of memories, solved the worlds problems and then calmed each other down when it got to be just too irritating:)

Scoot on the other hand didn't seem to mind...
We ended up having to turn around and head back to Woodinville for the night, but Friday morning we woke up and tried again, with no issues.

The fur-members of our family were excited to see Scoot...

 And so was Sheely!

That night we headed out to dinner with Grandma to celebrate Meg's 24th Birthday...

We had a blast just laughing and catching up!

The next morning Goose, Meg, Dad, Scoot and I headed out for a family walk. Dad is down over 30 lbs and we are so proud of him.

Before Lou Lou's party, we all headed out to get mani-pedis...Luce and I made sure ours was PV ready!
That night we watched the Zags choke in the 2nd round of the tourney...so disappointing!

All in all...lots of puppy snuggles, laughs, and family time...very thankful to have Lucy in my life and to share family memories with her!

Next up--Lou's Lou's Birthday party pictures...stinking hilarious and awesome!
